FMT strengthens Wellington lending team with Haidee Jo appointment

FMT has appointed Haidee Jo as Business Development Manager in Wellington, strengthening its lending team and relationship-led approach to property finance across New Zealand.

Haidee joins FMT from Bank of New Zealand, where she held several business and property finance roles, most recently as Associate Director in Corporate & Institutional Banking – Property Finance. She brings strong commercial and corporate lending experience, alongside a proven ability to build relationships and support property finance transactions. As Business Development Manager, Haidee will work with borrowers, advisers and professional partners to help grow FMT’s lending pipeline.

Phil Bennett, Head of Lending at First Mortgage Trust, said Haidee’s experience and relationship-led approach would be valuable as FMT expands its lending activity.

“Haidee brings strong property finance experience and, just as importantly, she knows how to build lasting relationships. As FMT celebrates 30 years in business this year and our loan book continues to grow, it’s important we have people who understand what borrowers need and can work with them to achieve practical, well-structured outcomes. We’re really pleased to have her join the team.”

Haidee said she was looking forward to contributing to FMT’s momentum in the Wellington region.

“Joining FMT is an exciting opportunity to broaden my experience beyond main bank property finance and be part of a business with a strong reputation in the specialist lending market. I’m looking forward to building relationships across the Wellington region, supporting clients and advisers with practical lending solutions, and contributing to FMT’s continued growth.”

The appointment supports FMT’s focus on providing flexible, common-sense lending solutions to borrowers across New Zealand.
