Regional Property Insights with Tony Alexander – May

Each month Tony Alexander, independent economist, looks at the regions across the country and provides insights into trends and behaviours.

In this issue we look at changes in the average time taken to sell a dwelling in each region around New Zealand.  We also look at the extent to which sales are weakening and for some regions also examine changes in the stock of properties listed for sale.  In some regions stock levels have more than doubled from a year ago as the country has shifted from a seller’s to a buyer’s market.
