First Mortgage Trust Welcomes Sue Griffiths and George Wheelans to Key Strategic Roles

First Mortgage Trust (FMT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sue Griffiths as Lending Operations Manager and George Wheelans as Business Development Manager in the Christchurch office.

Sam Burgess, Head of Lending at First Mortgage Trust, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to welcome Sue and George to the team. Sue Griffiths joins First Mortgage Trust as the newly appointed Lending Operations Manager.

 

Sue says, “I am thrilled to join the FMT team, with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with in the non-bank market over the past six years. I’m look forward to working with the team to help drive FMT’s growth strategy and to continue supporting the aggregators and mortgage advisers through ongoing education and training.”

Known for her extensive industry knowledge and experience, Sue is a respected figure in the industry. “Sue has over three decades of expertise in leading teams through challenging environments, positioning her perfectly for this role. We are excited about the valuable skills and strategic insights she will bring, which will undoubtedly enhance our lending operations and support our long-term growth objectives,” says Sam Burgess.

 

George Wheelans joins First Mortgage Trust as Business Development Manager in Christchurch.

 

George will play a vital role in expanding FMT’s presence and fostering new relationships throughout Canterbury. His extensive background in finance, lending, and portfolio management, coupled with his deep connection to the local market, will be hugely beneficial to our team.
