FMT Youth Sponsorship Grant

Sponsorship Details

For more than 18 years we have offered an annual Youth Sponsorship grant. The Sponsorship is open to young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who are excelling in their chosen field at a national and/or international level in the fields of sport, music or the arts.

  • The successful sponsorship recipient will receive a grant of $3,500 to put towards helping them excel in their chosen field.
  • The successful recipient will be available to attend and present at our investor meetings to be held on 25th October in Matamata, 26th October at Te Awamutu, 8th November at Tauranga, and 9th November at Katikati.
  • As part of the sponsorship grant, the successful recipient is to provide up to 3 articles (300 words) plus photos over the sponsorship period, to update our clients on their endeavours and/or achievements.  These articles will be published on our website or in our quarterly newsletter.
  • Applicants to provide a cover letter and personal CV describing themselves, highlighting their ambitions and achievements to date.

    FMT 2022 Youth Sponsorship Recipient - Quinn Boyle

    “It is an absolute honour to receive the FMT Youth Sponsorship for 2022. The sponsorship will help to fund my swimming events and ambitions over the next 12 months. In December, I hope to complete the longest ever attempted, surf rescue solo swim event from Motiti Island to Pukehina surfclub which spans 20 km.

    In January, I am off to the French Alps to represent NZ competing in the World Ice swimming championships. This is the first time a NZ team has been selected to compete in this event. 

    I am looking forward to swimming for NZ and promoting ice swimming for all New Zealanders.
