Without a care in the world

If you’re looking for a peace-of-mind ‘set and forget’ investment to complement your lifestyle, then we’ve got you covered.

At FMT, our proven investment model is easy to understand, simple to get started, and your funds are backed by hundreds of quality properties in New Zealand.

So how does it work?

At its heart, FMT is a pooled mortgage investment scheme.  What this means is that your funds are pooled with those of thousands of other Kiwis.  Then, with careful due diligence and lots of checks and balances, we lend out those funds secured against first-mortgages on quality property focused in the economic strongholds of New Zealand.  Interest is earned across the portfolio, and then distributed quarterly to our investor base (after fees, expenses, and tax are deducted), to make for regular and consistent income.

We’ve been operating this active-management model since 1996, and as we’ve grown, we’ve opened offices where the majority of our investments are made.  This ensures we’ve got our finger on the pulse.  Our lending team only make decisions with investors front of mind – and if we decide something is too risky, we’ll simply walk away from it and wait for the next opportunity.

Having a disciplined approach is just one of many factors that has underpinned our success over the past 27 years.

There are others worth mentioning too, including the fact that we’re “real people”, accessible by phone and email, and we’re always willing to share what’s happening, whether that be through quarterly newsletters or at our annual investor meetings.

As well as delivering a consistent return, we’ve prioritised making it simple to get started with us, with no huge investment required.  For as little as $500, you can join our pool of investors and you can transfer more funds at any time.  Unlike mainstream bank term deposits, your money isn’t locked away for a set period, but we do recommend you invest for at least 2 years.

The final attribute mentioned by many, is that FMT is Kiwi through and through.   Not only are our roots here, but our investors are from here and our lending is done here, which makes for a better New Zealand for us all.  And as you drive around this great country, what’s not to love about that!
